Objectives Problems with complex geometry and material properties often arise in development and design of electromagnetic devices. Application of analytical procedures introduced in the course "Electromagnetic Fields" often results with unsatisfactory accuracy of results, and application of numerical method is necessary. The course aims to illustrate the most common numerical techniques adopted for the electromagnetic modeling. At the end of this course, the student will be able to select the most appropriate numerical technique to solve a specific electromagnetic problem, and to implement computer programs to solve simple problems.
Programme Basics of Linear Analysis and Numerical Linear Algebra. The Finite-Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method. The Method of Moments (MoM).
The Finite Element Method (FEM). The Boundary Element Method (BEM). Variational Techniques.

Books Learning material shall be provided to the student by the lecturer of the course. Classes' notes.
