Objectives The course will start focusing on free-hand drawings to improve the ability to observe. If students become good at observation they will draw what they see carefully. Observation leads everyone to understand the reality, so it is really important to improve the ability to notice everything, especially significant reality details. As a result, well-trained students can represent a particular subject, such as a piece of architecture. As it is important to have fundamental technical drawing skills, students have to learn how to draw plan, sections, and elevations such as understanding drawing conventions. After that, students will move on to consider more technically advanced representation. Combining the skills from drawing the plan and section to a 3-dimensional axonometric drawing, also 3d models will be produced.
Obviously, it is important to develop good drawing study skills, and all the students should put in a great deal of effort in order to reach the highest professional standards, that allow each student to work and doing the best to become a professional architect as is expected inside the 1st Cycle Degree Course of Architectural Science (L-17).
Programme Free-hand drawing: sketch and basic architectural drafting to represent pieces of architecture and environment. Orthogonal projections (plan, section, elevation); axonometric and perspectival projections to analyse geometrical shapes and dimensional aspects. Scale passages to represent environmental aspects and territorial characteristics. Theory of Light and Shadow.
Books Many books are available in the Internet (in open-source), moreover it will be given information about many other materials during each class.

Objectives In the Course the students will be able to formulate the Survey Project, and in order to make it they will need a theoretical knowledge and a professional training using tools, methods and techniques. By teaching instrumental survey the first goal will be to define phases and procedures, using traditional and innovative surveying techniques.
As the Survey is an essential tool for professionals in the architectural field, it is important in the aim to become a professional architect as it is expected inside the 1st Cycle Degree Course of Architectural Science (L-17).
