Objectives The module of “Foundations of Analog and Digital Electronics” aims at transferring to the students the basic concepts related to the operation and use
of semiconductor electronic devices for the treatment of analog and digital signals. Students are given the opportunity to analyze the behavior of simple
circuits, even at different levels of abstraction, from diodes- and transistors-based circuits, to more complex functional blocks. The course also
includes a part of circuit synthesis with the aim of providing students with the basic elements needed for the design of digital circuits based on logic
gates. An important topic is the acquisition of concepts that provide the student the competence to compare the analog and digital systems in terms of
electronic performances.
