Objectives Acquisition of knowledge on:

The course provides knowledge in the area of Wireless System Planning. Besides, the general basic aspects of the terrestrial mobile communication systems, namely mobile cellular ones are provided. Focus is given on radio network aspects and in particular on the main features of the mobile radio channel, policies of medium access control and channel allocation, and basic principles of wireless network planning by means of planning tools. At the end of the course students will have a good general knowledge of mobile communication systems and will be capable of designing a radio network, in terms of coverage, capacity, traffic, and interference
